Who we are
PetStayIndex.com ("we", "us") is an independent pet-policy directory for vacation lodging. You can reach us anytime via the contact page.
What we collect
We do not require accounts, logins, or any personal information to use this site. We collect two kinds of data:
Analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful — things like which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from (country/region level), what device type is used, and how visitors found the site. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google Analytics sets cookies to make this work; you can learn more in Google's privacy policy and opt out with Google's browser add-on.
Email you send us. If you email us — a correction, a question — we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to improve the directory (for example, correcting a pet-fee record). We don't add you to any list without asking.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent personal data. We don't run third-party tracking beyond the analytics described above. We don't collect payment information — nothing is sold on this site.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links are affiliate links, meaning the destination site may set its own cookies to attribute a booking to us, and we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Full details are on our affiliate disclosure page. What happens on external sites is governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
Cookies
Cookies on this site come from the analytics and affiliate mechanisms described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the directory works fine without them.
Data retention and your rights
Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' standard settings. Emails are kept as long as needed to handle your message and maintain correction records. If you'd like anything you've sent us deleted, email us via the contact page and we'll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted here plainly rather than buried.
