How we verify

Three levels of verification

Verified by phone — we spoke with the company's office and recorded their answers. Verified by email — the company confirmed details in writing. From company website — taken from the company's own currently published policy, quoted in our notes. We never publish inferred or scraped guesses, and a field the company doesn't state stays marked "not stated" rather than being filled in.

Dated, always

Every record shows when it was last checked. Pet policies change without notice, so treat our data as your shortlist-builder and confirm with the property before you book — we say this on every page because it's true.

Cats and other pets, asked explicitly

"Pet friendly" almost always means dogs. We ask every company specifically about cats and other animals, because that answer is nearly impossible to find anywhere else.

Independence

Some links are affiliate links, and some companies pay us nothing at all — every company in a region is listed either way, on the same terms, with the same fields. Rankings in tools are pure arithmetic on the verified data.

Corrections

Spotted an outdated policy? Companies update rules faster than anyone can track — if a row disagrees with what a company tells you, trust the company, and know that every record here will be re-verified on a rolling schedule.
