The problem

Anyone who has traveled with a pet knows the routine: a listing says "pet friendly," and then the real questions begin. How much is the pet fee — per stay, per night, per pet? Is there a deposit, and do you get it back? Two dogs okay? A 70-pound dog? Your breed? And if you travel with a cat, the answer is usually not written down anywhere at all. So you call, and you wait on hold, and you do it again for the next company.

What this site does

PetStayIndex collects those answers in one place — pet fees, deposits, pet limits, weight limits, breed restrictions, and explicit cat and other-animal policies — verified against each company's current published policy or confirmed directly with the company by email or phone. Every record shows how it was verified and when. Fields a company doesn't state are marked "not stated" rather than guessed; the absence of an answer is information too. Who runs it

PetStayIndex is built and run by Khaled Ibrahim, an independent site owner — not a booking platform, not a rental company, and not owned by one. The directory started with Smoky Mountains cabin rentals (Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Wears Valley) and expands region by region as verification completes. It's a deliberately small operation with a deliberately narrow promise: the pet-policy numbers on this site are real.

How it stays honest

The site earns money through clearly disclosed affiliate links, which never affect what data appears or how companies are presented. Companies can't pay to be listed, can't pay to look better, and can't pay to hide their fees.

Help make it better

Policies change without notice. If you find a record that disagrees with what a company tells you, trust the company — and tell us so we can re-verify the row. Corrections from travelers and companies alike make the directory better for the next person searching with a dog crate in the back seat.
